Explore how random processes create ordered patterns through chaos theory. Perfect for visualizing mathematical concepts in an interactive way.
About the Chaos Game
The Chaos Game is a method of creating a Sierpinski triangle using a random process:
- Start with an equilateral triangle
- Pick a random point inside the triangle
- Randomly select one of the triangle's vertices
- Move halfway from the current point to the chosen vertex
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 many times
Despite the random nature of the process, a clear pattern emerges - the Sierpinski triangle! This demonstrates how simple rules can create complex, fractal patterns.
